Genocide is not an aberration

War and genocide have been a way of life for the human race for thousands of years. The bible tells of Jericho and other cities where every inhabitant was killed; man woman and child. Genocide is simply a reoccurring theme in human history. Rwanda, Nazi, Somalia the fanatic Muslim, the fanatic Catholics, the fanatic Protestants, the fanatic Jews.

Ireland and the last 200 years has been a great example of Christians killing Christians as was WWI [Germany and the western Countries] and WWII [again Germany and the western Countries] and just about every other war in the history of the world. What has the Human Race learned from all this homicidal history?

[....] Muslims did not discover vicious killings or torture with religious motivation, and they are not the only ones who made it part and parcel of their religious activities. “Christians” in the Dark Ages and Middle Ages made a science out of torture and killings! During the Crusades, whole towns, containing thousands of Jews, were destroyed with every person killed. Then when the crusaders arrived in Muslim lands, thousands of “Turks” were slaughtered (as the “Turks” had been slaughtering those who were of other religious persuasions!) [....]

Humans have learned how to excuse these killings as racial purification, religious wars and have learned a multitude of other excuses for killing people they don't know and have never met. The most interesting one is claiming God told me to kill you; insert lame reason here.

It is convenient to blame your actions on God but in the end it is you that did the deed no matter who you try to blame.
