Over the years I have watched the News Media go from reputable source of news to "chasing any story" that might be out there. The latest story with Shirley Sherrod is just another incident where the news media harms innocent people in their effort to generate rating and generate viewers.
The News Media used to never report on the infidelities of the White House, the Federal Legislators or the wealthy. Currently everything is fair game and I really don't have an issue with that. If you don't like what somebody is reporting about you then stop doing whatever it is you don't want them to see.
Don't get me wrong, it isn't about content it is about offering their opinion in an attempt to sway public opinion instead of simply reporting the news. It has become a "Cult of Personality" and the public seems to eat this up.
Why would Fox News hire the likes of Glenn Beck, and others like him, when he and they, are nothing more than radio personalities, entertainers and nothing more, to report the news? Why is MSNBC the "Place for Politics" and why do these entities purport to be news media outlets?
