News Media displays disdain for average citizens

I listen infrequently to the news media only to be offended each time. The News Media continues to claim the average individual is so stupid "WE" cannot comprehend the complexity of the world.

Today it was Fox claiming

"the human mind is not capable of understanding or seeing the long term affects of global warming"

The news media has their own agenda and until that changes they have no concept of the damage they do each time they say such ignorant and self-serving stupid things.

Complex concept here

Global warming is caused by multiple factors that the media, even Al Gore, doesn't speak about. Al Gore's model is in fact pretty correct in that CO2 has a dramatic impact on the planet. He is correct on the Earth breathing and going through cycles.

He missed the fact the Earth orbits cycles from a circular orbit to an elliptical orbit; during these two orbits the earth warms and cools, in each respective cycle. This cycle occurs about every one-hundred thousand years.

"These and the 100,000 year cycle were identified with ice ages by Milankovitch, on the basis of on solar insolation theory, changes in the radiation reaching Earth from the Sun as a result of regular changes in the precession, obliquity and eccentricity of the Earth’s orbit"

This does not lessen or diminish our impact on the planet, it means that we are warming the planet more than if we weren't here.

It is simply a fact that is not debatable that the humans have polluted the earth, destroyed natural aquifers and have changed the Earth. This combined with the Earths cyclical warming trend could cause the ocean to warm significantly and cause another mass extinction.

"So our planet was balmy – but hardly a biological paradise, for it was whacked by a mysterious mass extinction. As the fossil record attests, the depths of the ocean suddenly became starved of oxygen, wiping out swathes of marine life"

    Complete article

"human impacts are laying the groundwork for mass extinctions in the oceans that could equal the vast ecological upheavals of the past"

    Complete article

The first and almost complete extinction of all life on earth could have been caused by the ocean warming and we should probably do everything we can to avoid having it happen again. This is nothing more than common sense; something the News Media does not credit individuals with having in any significant quantity.

So instead of reporting significant stories the News Media present us with garbage about a celebrity that is having issues with handling their fame and fortune, I feel bad for those celebrities for having to to deal with such a hardship, but that is simply an unimportant topic.
